conferred by section 71 of the Marine and Ports Services Act 2021, makes the following Regulations:
Citation
1 These Regulations may be cited as the Marine and Ports Authority (Pilotage Dues) Regulations 2023.
Rate of pilotage dues
2 The pilotage dues payable under section 32C of the Marine and Ports Services Act
2021 in respect of an inward or outward bound ship shall, where the port of destination or departure, as the case may be, is that specified in the Schedule, be calculated at the rate specified in the Schedule in relation to that port for each metre of draught.

Minimum dues
3 Where a ship is less than three metres of draught the pilotage dues payable in respect of it shall be those payable on a ship of three metres of draught.
Base charge by metre
4 In calculating the charges in these Regulations the base charge shall be by the metre; and any part of the metre shall be charged by the decimetre or part thereof.
Pilot for change of berth within a port
5 Where the services of a pilot are required for a change of berth within a port the fee payable shall be as appears in the Schedule.
Fuel surcharge
6 Where, after the coming into operation of these Regulations, the price of fuel oil is increased by an amount exceeding five cents per litre, there shall be payable, in addition to the dues specified in the Schedule, a surcharge at the rate of ten dollars and fifty cents per movement, hour, or in the case of a cruise ship, per round trip, for every five cents or part thereof by which the price is so increased.
Revocation
7 The Marine Board (Pilotage Dues) Regulations 1972 are revoked.
Commencement
8 These Regulations shall come into force on 1 April 2023.
