HEALTH INSURANCE (HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN) (PREMIUM) ORDER 2015

13(2) of the Health Insurance Act 1970, makes the following Order:

Citation

1 This Order may be cited as the Health Insurance (Health Insurance Plan) (Premium)

ORDER 2015.

Premium

2 Subject to paragraphs 3 and 4, the premium (including the standard premium) to be paid to the Committee in respect of each health insurance plan effected with the Committee under the Act shall be $459.24 a month (or $105.98 a week where paid weekly). [Paragraph 2 amended by 2017 : 25 s. 10 effective 1 June 2017; Paragraph 2 amended by 2021 : 39 s. 4 effective 1 November 2021]

Premium for persons under the age of 21 who qualify for subsidy

3 The premium to be paid to the Committee in respect of each health insurance plan effected with the Committee under the Act for persons under the age of 21 who qualify for

subsidy under section 2(1) of the Act shall be $220.00 a month (or $50.77 a week where paid weekly).

Premium for persons over the age of 65 who do not qualify for subsidy

4 The premium (including the standard premium) to be paid to the Committee in respect of each health insurance plan effected with the Committee under the Act for persons over the age of 65 who do not qualify for subsidy under section 2(1) of the Act shall be $1,239.60 a month (or $286.06 a week where paid weekly).

Revokes BR 22 / 2012

5 The Health Insurance (Health Insurance Plan) (Premium) Order 2012 is revoked.

Commencement

6 This Order comes into operation on 1 September 2015.
