BR 60 / 2026 ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1947 ROAD TRAFFIC (BERMUDA BICYCLE ASSOCIATION BRCC BICYCLE ROAD RACE) ORDER 2026 The Bermuda Land Management Corporation, in exercise of the power conferred by section 4 of the Road Traffic Act 1947 and section 21A of the Bermuda Land Management Corporation Act 1982, makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Bermuda Bicycle Association BRCC Bicycle
2. Road Race) Order 2026.
Race (the “bicycle race”) on Bermuda Land Management Corporation roads in St. David’s to be held on Sunday, 31st May 2026.
3. The bicycle race will follow the route specified below.
4. The Commissioner of Police is hereby authorized to close roads or portions of roads and
authorize parking as the Commissioner of Police decides in the interests of public safety. RACE ROUTE: The bicycle race commences and concludes at Clearwater Beach. The participants proceed north along Cooper’s Island Road until reaching the roundabout, then continue along Pepper Hall Road, then turn left on to Tommy Fox Road and continue along Southside Road and travel towards the roundabout. The participants traverse around the roundabout, making a U-Turn to return to Southside Road, then continue east along Southside Road, proceed to the roundabout where they exit onto Cooper’s Island Road and head south to the finish line. TRAFFIC CONTROL: The bicycle race will commence on Sunday, 31st May 2026 at 8:00am and is expected to conclude by 11:00am. All motorists are expected to use caution and to avoid collision with race participants. The race route will be under the control of the police and race officials. Motorists must follow instructions from race officials to assist with traffic control for this event. ROADS CLOSED: Roads will be closed during the races. Motorists are advised to use caution and alternative routes. Motorists are also advised to follow directions given by the police and race marshals. PARKING: There will be no parking restrictions in place for the bicycle race, with motorists permitted to park in designated parking bays along any part of the race route. Additionally, motorists must not block the race route or impede the participants in the bicycle race. Made this 29th day of May 2026 By Order _______________________________________________ The Hon.
