QUOFATAFERUNT BERMUDA HEALTH INSURANCE (MUTUAL RE-INSURANCE FUND) (PRESCRIBED SUM) VALIDATION ACT 2026

2026 : 4 WHEREAS it is expedient to validate payments made out of the Mutual Re- Insurance Fund from 1 November 2021 without the required legislative authority; Be it enacted by The King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and the House of Assembly of Bermuda, and by the authority of the same, as follows: Citation

1 This Act may be cited as the Health Insurance (Mutual Re-Insurance Fund) (Prescribed Sum) Validation Act 2026. Validation

2 Payments made out of the Mutual Re-Insurance Fund to—

(a) the Bermuda Health Council in the sum of $5.36;

(b) the Bermuda Hospitals Board in the sum of $297.38; and

(c) the Health Insurance Fund in the sum of $74.23; from 1 November 2021 until such time as a new order made by the Minister under section 3A(2A) of the Health Insurance Act 1970 comes into force, are hereby validated and taken to have been lawfully made; and no action, suit or proceeding shall be brought against the Minister, the Health Insurance Committee, the Bermuda Health Council, the Bermuda Hospitals Board, or the Health Insurance Fund by reason only of such payments having been made.
