QUOFATAFERUNT BERMUDA MOTOR CAR (LICENCE DUTIES REDUCTION) AMENDMENT ACT 2026
2026 : 7 WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Motor Car Act 1951 to reduce by ten percent the licence duties payable in respect of private motor car licences. Be it enacted by The King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and the House of Assembly of Bermuda, and by the authority of the same, as follows: Citation
1 This Act may be cited as the Motor Car (Licence Duties Reduction) Amendment Act 2026. Amends Schedule 2
2 Schedule 2 of the Motor Car Act 1951 is amended by repealing and replacing paragraph B with the following— “ B PRIVATE MOTOR CARS Class A Where the length overall does not exceed 3505 mm $246.35 (138 in.) Class B Where the length overall exceeds 3505 mm (138 in.) $338.69 but does not exceed 3658 mm (144 in.) Class C Where the length overall exceeds 3658 mm (144 in.) $479.63 but does not exceed 3810 mm (150 in.) Class D Where the length overall exceeds 3810 mm (150 in.) $591.41 but does not exceed 3963 mm (156 in.) Class E Where the length overall exceeds 3963 mm (156 in.) $827.93 but does not exceed 4115 mm (162 in.) 1 MOTOR CAR (LICENCE DUTIES REDUCTION) AMENDMENT ACT 2026 Class F Where the length overall exceeds 4115 mm (162 in.) $959.15 but does not exceed 4217 mm (166 in.) Class G Where the length overall exceeds 4217 mm (166 in.) $1,116.29 but does not exceed 4293 mm (169 in.) Class H Where the length overall exceeds 4293 mm (169 in.) $1,359.29 but does not exceed 4445 mm (175 in.) Class I Where the length overall exceeds 4445 mm (175 in.) $1,518.26 (Electric or but does not exceed 4470 mm (176 in.) Hybrid) ”. Commencement
